Motorcycle Ride

Hi everyone! So this post is actually not about makeup, but i wanted to share anyway. One of mine and my husband's favorite hobbies is to ride motorcycles with our friends. We participated in a poker run with a friend of ours today. The poker run was to benefit children with down syndrome and autism. We didn't win, but we had fun. Unfortunately, the group that we were riding with did not know where in the world they were going so we ended up doing a huge loop. Our friend nearly ran out of gas (that would have been bad!), but it's all good :) Anyway, the reason I'm writing this post is to beg everyone to watch out for motorcycles on the road! When my husband and I were riding home today a guy in a truck tried to pull out in front of us and nearly hit us! Thank goodness for my husband's quick reflexes or we would have been hood ornaments! Motorcycles are everywhere and motorists should respect riders and vice versa. So please watch out for riders and share the road! Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Sephora Babydoll Nightie Eyeshadow Review

Hi dolls! So I visited my local Sephora store yesterday and picked up a few things. While there I was looking at the Urban Decay (LOVE them!) eyeshadow single in Midnight Cowboy Rides Again. The color was a soft rose pink with silver shimmer. I love how pigmented and velvety the Urban Decay eyeshadows are but I don't really love the price ($18 for one eyeshadow). So, I figured while I was there I would check and see if Sephora made a dupe in their brand ($13 for one eyeshadow, not a lot cheaper but a little). The dupe that I found was Babydoll Nightie. The eyeshadow colors are virtually identical. I will say that Urban Decay is slightly more pigmented and I do love the velvety texture of the UD, but Sephora is definitely a comparable dupe. It has good pigmentation and a lot of shimmer. It will look beautiful as a transition shade on a smokey eye. The texture is kind of chalky, though. Overall, it's a good eyeshadow, however, if I had to do it over again I would spend the extra $5 for the Urban Decay. Hope this helps you guys out! Bye dolls!!

Urban Decay All Nighter Review

Hi dolls! I must first start off by saying that I'm sorry I haven't posted the last couple of days. I have a horrible cold right now :( This a review of the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting spray. I have used  this a couple of times and I absolutely LOVE it!! I bought the travel size bottle at Ulta for $9 which is definitely a good price for the amount of sprays you get. I usually use 3 sprays across my face to set my makeup. The spray dries almost immediately and does not leave a shiny or vinyl appearance on the skin. Just a beautiful matte finish. I wore this on my birthday when I went out with some friends. We left at 7pm and I did not take my makeup off until nearly 5am. My skin normally gets oily after a few ours but this kept my skin looking great all night, even in the hot, humid weather in South Carolina. We were also dancing for a good bit of the night. I will definitely be purchasing the larger bottle for my professional kit. Another great product by Urban Decay!! Highly recommend :)

Eye Design

Hi dolls! This is an eye design I did with an Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Perversion. The rest of the eye makeup is done using Bad to the Bronze Color Tattoo by Maybelline, bronze eyeshadow, orange eyeshadow, brown eyeshadow, black eyeshadow, black cream liner on top lid, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion on the waterline and smudged under the eye, Wet n Wild blue crease shadow from the Blue Had Me At Hello palette under the eye, and finally a little bit of Sally Girl Blue Lagoon loose glitter on the inner corner under the eye. Top it all off with some Maybelline Great Lash mascara in Blackest Black. Leave some comments on what you think.

Updated Review of Bellaboo Skincare

Hi dolls! Just wanted to give you guys a quick updated review of the Bellaboo Gorgeous Skin Moisture Dew as well as the Clear Skin Smoothie Mask. I have been using the Moisture Dew twice a day for the past week and I must say that it has made a dramatic difference in my skin. Before using this moisturizer my skin was very oily and after a week of using this moisturizer my skin is not oily at all, just glowing. I have also used the Clear Skin Smoothie Mask three times and it is amazing!! The mask does initially cause some redness but this subsides after about an hour. The next morning your skin looks and feels much clearer. When I first began using the mask I had about 6 or 7 pimples and now I have one that is also going away. I would definitely recommend giving the Bellaboo skincare line a try! I also plan to buy the face wash when I run out of my current face wash.

First Impression of Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer

Hi dolls! So first off I want to say that I had an amazing day at Paramount Carowinds with my hubby and 2 best friends! We rode roller coasters and water slides all day!! On my way home I stopped by my local Cosmetics Company Store and picked up two Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealers. I've heard so many good things about these concealers on YouTube that I had to try them! The concealers retail for $23.00 for 0.06 oz. Luckily, I was able to pick these up for $15.50 each. I chose to get the Ivory and the Dark Bisque. I should be able to easily mix these together to get a match for most any light to medium skin tones. My first impression is that the concealers are extremely creamy and cover quite well! They appear to mix quite well and could even be combined with a bit of moisturizer to create a custom tinted moisturizer. I also finally received my new supply of the Dinair Alabaster foundation today so I will hopefully be adding some new makeup looks this next week. Bye dolls!

Hi dolls! Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday week! So, I finally got my business cards ordered today. I'm super excited, especially because I got them dirt-cheap! The photo below is a preview of them. Sorry I haven't posted any makeup looks this week. I ran out of my Dinair Alabaster foundation and have been waiting for my new bottle to arrive. Now to research some advertising material to hand out and off to Hobby Lobby to look for a nice portfolio to put some of my prints in. Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th! Please remember to thank a service member for all that they do because as we know, freedom is not free!

Review on Bellaboo Gorgeous Skin Moisture Dew

Hi dolls! I decided to do a review of an awesome new moisturizer I found. It's Bellaboo's Gorgeous Skin Moisture Dew. Bellaboo is actually a skin care line for tweens and teens that originated in Australia but is now sold online all over the world and at Ulta in the U.S. I have pretty oily, acne-prone skin and pretty much anything breaks me out. I have been using Clean and Clear Dual Action moisturizer for years but it has pretty much stopped working. The more I research on skin care and makeup the more I have realized that in order to have a flawless makeup application you need to begin with the canvas. I have also realized that natural products are generally much less irritating and work better in the long run. Bellaboo is 99% natural and uses lots of really great minerals and extracts to keep the skin clear and moisturized without harsh chemicals. I just began using this product today but I can already tell that my skin feels softer and smoother. The smell isn't too bad. It has a pretty strong eucalyptus scent but fades after about an hour. It feels really light on the skin and doesn't leave any greasy feeling. A pea-sized amount with easily cover the entire face and neck. I will update once I know for sure that I won't have any reaction to the product. So far so good though! :)
